Instead of selling the products, sell the benefits instead
When you sell a product, do not sell the product because the product is good quality and is useful, instead emphasize on the benefits that the certain product can give your potential customer. For instance, instead of selling Tupperware because it is durable and a nice color; sell Tupperware because it keeps vegetables fresh and dry in the refrigerator for over a week. In a Coleman advertisement, they sold more Coleman food containers when a customer attested that he somehow managed to fish out of the lake a Coleman container he happened to drop in a few months back which contained chocolate chip cookies. When he opened it the cookies were still fresh and delicious! In terms of make-up, don’t sell the product because it is the newest product in the catalog. Let the customer try the sample and show her how great it makes her look!

Consider package deals and promos
Instead of selling products individually, try to sell customers products that are bundled together to give the maximum benefits. For instance, if you are selling organic toiletries, instead of selling each separately, come up with a great shower package of organic soap, shampoo, conditioner, body oil, and lotion and explain the benefits of each if you use them one after the other on your typical shower routine. You will find that more people will go for the package deals because of the bundled benefits they will also receive when they use it!

Offer a warranty or a money-back deal
You may want to consider offering customers a money-back deal so that they feel they are not losing their money. Many consumers ask about warranty and money-back guarantees because if they are not sure about spending the money and want to have options open for when they can get their money back. You will find that over 95 percent of the time they will not ask for their money back and you will have made a successful sale without having to return any money! Also offer them contact number where they are able to see more products or ask about certain products they have bought. When they know that there is a stable facility behind the product that you are offering them through direct sales, they will feel more confident about shelling out cash for a reliable product.
